About Us

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about Gravely & Associates’s risk management services for minority-owned businesses in Athens, GA. Our company was formed to meet the diversity-related needs of corporate and governmental agencies. Since the inception of the business in 2001, we have worked with both the public and private sector to provide insurance products and risk management services to companies such as Delta Air Lines, Ford Motor Company, Mohawk Industries, and Zoo Atlanta. We cover everything form cost-effective insurance programs and certificates of insurance to contract review services.

We have also been able to help other WBE and minority businesses secure contracts with large corporations such as MetLife, Georgia Power and the Southern Companies, Coca-Cola, BMW, and Mercedes-Benz. We value community involvement and we're committed to excellent service. In November of 2010, our company was awarded the Trail Blazer of the Year award, as well as Volunteer of the Year by the Greater Women's Business Council.

We operate as a Limited Liability Corporation in the state of Georgia. We have been in business since 2001, however, Susan Gravely, President, has 40-plus years of experience in the insurance industry. Her certifications include The Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation obtained in 1989, The Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation obtained in 1999 and The Certified Risk Manager designation in 2004.

WBENC Certification

Gravely & Associates received the "Women's Business Enterprise" (WBE) Certification through the Women's Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) in 2006. Over 700 corporate businesses recognize such businesses as qualified and approved WBE service providers.

WBENC is the largest third-party certifier of businesses owned, controlled, and operated by women in the United States. The Council was founded in 1997 and is committed to fostering diversity in the world of commerce. The Council is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and provides certification, opportunities, and resources to the WBENC network.
